Licence to perform rigging basic level – CPCCLRG3001

This unit requires the applicant to be able to plan the work, select and inspect the equipment, set up tasks, erect structures and plant and dismantle structures and plant.

Description

This basic rigging course specifies the outcomes required to perform basic rigging work associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists (including mast climbing hoists), placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes.

The course is a 5 day course consisting of theory training, practical training and assessments. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to undertake this course.

This unit has a pre-requisite requirement.

 

Pre-requisite:

This requirement may be met by either the successful completion of the unit CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging or holding a valid licence for dogging.

Participants that successfully complete the course will be issued a Statement of Attainment and a Candidate Assessment Summary (CAS).  They have 60 days to apply to the state WHS Regulator for issue of the licence.
